A bit of a spring clean

To mark the one year blogging milestone I have added a picture header to my blog. Hope you like it. I see so many great looking blogs out there and felt it was about time mine was spruced up a bit.

Been a good week for finishing off some of my WIPs.

Vintage waistcoat; worn here by my trusted vintage model, Mildred. I've added a white tea shirt and the skirt I made last year. Quite pleased with the outfit.



Blue Moose; there's a story here which I will blog about at a later date. But just to show you that I can knit as well as crochet. Still prefer to crochet though.



Hope you are getting on well with your projects.

A big welcome to my new followers, I'm now in the thirtys. Wow.......

Must dash, off to do some crafting with youngsters today. Really lookin forward to it, they have such wonderful creative ideas.

    Your new header is lovely - I have wanted to make changes to mine for so long but daren't do it without my daughter's help!!!
    Your waistcoat is very pretty and the blue moose is really cute - love his feet, I suppose I should say hooves?

      Hi Joy. I've been a bit busy here, but have managed to find a quiet half hour. We've both been blogging for twelve months. Isn't time going fast. The butterflies I felt when I hit the publish button for the first time seem so silly now. I will look at your give away.

      Thank you Nichole. The moose is for my sister.

      The banner was made for my Folksy shop. The props are all Jessie's, including the needle which I scanned in to my computer. I don't have the software to make something like it myself so I paid someone to do it for me.

      Thank you. Both are made from the same yarn. It was called denim and it came from the bargain store. I might make another waistcoat from proper wool next, just to see the difference.
