Retirement sounded good, all that free time to do what I wanted. But in reality it was too big a change. I'd worked full time, often with more than one extra job at a time, since I was 17. I had a break from paid work when my daughter was young, for 4 years. But now I got bored, so I've gone out and got a part-time job, I'm now in a new category - semi retired.
I'd also flirted with trying a craft business by opening a shop on Folksy, I closed that yesterday. I love making stuff, but running a business is not for me.
Now that a more regular routine has been implemented I'm wondering if I will have more to say and crafty makes to share.
Like, this week I attended a leather masterclass workshop and made this.
Sorry to hear retirement didn't suit you, I was the opposite and do wonder how I ever had time to go to work. Love the butterfly, it looks amazing.

DeleteRetirement was going well at first with the exciting art project and the museum gig, But then winter came and i think I was missing company. So far working part time is giving me freedom, routine and a purpose; the extra money comes in handy too. Plus if the job gets in the way too much, I can just walk away, a marvellous feeling.
