Jumper in Disney princess colours for granddaughter.
Then, impulse purchase of this fabric.
Which I turned into this top
Think I must be going through a pink phase.
Not had much time for blogging just lately, looking forward to catching up with all my favourite bloggers today.

Love your top , funny that you mention going through a pink phase so am I . I just bought a pink bag ,some pink yarn, and a pink scarf. Must be something in the air
ReplyDeletePink must be the new black
DeleteGreat makes, the fabric for the top is delightful.
ReplyDeleteFabric pattern delightful, but was not easy to sew. I don't have a proper overlocker so used zigzag and straight stitches, then tried French seams. Even resorted to a rolled hem for the bottom hem, but I'm really proud of the result.

Despite the horrific precipitation today, all this pink makes me feel spring-like!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have brightened your day.

Lovely pink makes, S, I always love pink - and especially when it comes with butterflies! Your grandie will look so cute in that sweet little top! Have a great week, love, Joy xo
ReplyDeleteReally pretty top. In my opinion, you can never have too much pink...

Oh your top is gorgeous! I really love the shape and fabric, is it cut on the bias?
ReplyDeleteI've got loads of clothes I need to photograph but I find it really difficult. I think I need a dress makers dummy, then at least I'll start getting my darts & tucks right ;-)
Hi, no it was cut on the straight grain, but it is very floaty fabric, quite hard to sew. The pattern is Simplicity 1622, tunic D with sleeves from C. It's a pattern with tunics, a dress and trousers so a good buy. I made the trousers yesterday. I've had some great comments so will be looking out for similar fabric and will make another.
